There is absolutely no argument that COVID-19 has had a massive economic impact on restaurant and food service-related establishments. Organizations like Restaurant Canada
have regular news stories about the struggles of many businesses, big and small alike, but the entrepreneurial spirit has fought back with some practical solutions. We see tents with propane heaters that came out when lockdown provisions eased, and the expansion of food trucks i.e. that also may carry propane.
Propane has given some food service businesses a lifeline or a plan-b (e.g. see Food Truck Success Story), but with a higher level of use for some, it is important to respect this helpful gas and do some basic safety training. Yes, it seems simple, but safe handling of propane for heating and cooking needs training accredited by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority
i.e. with real demonstrations and not just slides off an on-line course.
Worksafe BC issued an alert even before COVID (see Worksafe BC Alert), and Youtube is filled with enough dramatic explosions to make the point e.g. Inside Edition.
If you use propane – get trained! Premier Proactive Education is based in Newmarket but we will travel to your location to provide CH-02 propane training: PPE Propane Training
